My Art and Spirit workshops combine my extensive background in painting with meditation to help you to work through creative blocks and learn or refine technique. Join a like minded circle as we explore what wants to emerge.  My large light filled studio and acres of forest and meadow is the ideal location to support you as you relax and explore your creative process. For those with no experience as well as those who would like to improve existing skills. . A supply list will be provided upon registration or you may pay a supply fee of $25 to use Melissa’s supplies.  Workshops include healthy lunches. Weather permitting we often gather at Melissa’s fire circle in the evenings.

Friday night  5:00 – 8:30 with intro and painting

Saturday 9 – 5  morning meditation and painting teaching discussion- watercolor demo but participants are invited to work in any medium

Sunday  9 – 4 or 5  morning meditation and painting discussion- art demo and painting exercises

Maine stole my heart the first time I visited many years ago!  I’ve continued visiting each year since then as often as I can.  Beauty is everywhere you look, There is a reason their license plates say “VACATIONLAND”. I’m overjoyed to have found a comfortable and gorgeous venue RIGHT ON THE OCEAN!  I invite you to join me in mid-coast Maine at a luxury retreat center complete with a chef on site to create our delicious healthy meals.  We will spend our time learning or refining watercolor with walking or swimming breaks.  We will visit the Wyeth Museum in a nearby town where I have gotten much inspiration from paintings by the Wyeth family master artists.

If you are interested in painting plein air (from life, on site) you can do that.  otherwise we will be painting from photos or our imagination or a combination of both.  If you have not painted before I will offer you basic beginners instruction, no worries! I’m a gentle teacher.

On site we also have a complete wellness center with chakra chimes, a massage bed, a sauna, and an amethyst Biomat if you would like to rejuvenate on the mat and/or book a massage.  There is a fitness room if you like indoor workouts. You are also welcome to visit and shop the nearby charming town of Belfast.

Healthy snacks and beverages are continuously provided.  There is a 24 hour refreshment and snack station on hand.

A non-refundable deposit of $650 is required and you can contact Melissa at info@melissaharris.com to discuss subtracting that from the payment plan you choose, unless you prefer to go ahead and select one of the payment options.  One quarter of your total payment is due within a month of your registration. Half of your full payment is due by April 20 unless you make other arrangements with Melissa.   All payment must be completed by July 1, 2027 unless you make other arrangements with Melissa

50% refund for cancellations before May 15.(initial deposit excluded).  No refunds after May 15..  Exceptions will be made for any medical emergencies, minus a $650 admin fee

If you must cancel you may find someone to take your place if agreed upon with Melissa     If possible, Melissa may be able to give a partial credit toward another workshop or retreat.
