Lou and I have been enjoying time with friends that I only see once or twice a year and gobbling up each delicious moment of it. I grew up in Virginia and I only have one friend that I am regularly in touch with from those days and last year we spent New Years Eve together and are working on making it an annual event. We”ll see how long that can last! Christmas eve was spent with an old dear friend surrounded by other old friends from that era, the early 80’s. When one moves around a bit like I have one develops different groups of friends from each era.
We arrived here on the Outer Banks, NC a couple of days ago and although we had hoped to enjoy nice sunny beach walks it’s been cloudy and foggy. We’re still having some nice down time which includes great seafood, drives out to Hatteras and misty sea walks. Last night there was a gorgeous full moon over the ocean.
I tried to capture it but only had my phone camera.
I hope to be able to do a painting or two from the bay across the road. The painting above is one that I did a few years ago here.
Time to get going now for a day trip out to Hatteras. See you next time, Melissa
