Affordable Commissioned Portraits

Have you ever wanted to have your portrait painted but are not interested in a conventional portrait? I am pleased to offer you a very special portrait that shows the “real you” by including the special elements that help make you who you are. For example you may choose to dress in clothing that illustrates certain aspects of your being, you may include your totem animal or your pet, a certain crystal to enhance manifestation or any other props that are special to you. These paintings are custom created by both you and I and include the colors and aspects you want.
You could also have me create a wedding, commitment, anniversary or painting to help call in a relationship. These make awesome gifts to mark any milestone such as a pregnancy or new baby. They can also be representations of any other life transitions.
To make the paintings affordable I am offering them in small sizes but you may also commission larger pieces as well, just ask about the size you are interested in.
Logistics
You may email or snail mail a good photo along with direction in regards to what you want to emphasize in the painting. The better the photo the easier it is for me. The more information you give me the better. If you have an outfit that you love or would like to be represented in it would be great if you have a photo of you in it. If you have an animal you would like to have with you then a photo of you two together is ideal. If not, then separate photos will do.

All pieces are unframed to make them most affordable.
I will need a non-refundable deposit of half in advance and will email you a photo of the painting when it is complete. If there are any small changes that I can easily make I will do so at that point at no additional charge, however if for any reason you are very unsatisfied I will charge you an additional $150 to begin the piece again. Use the forms below to make your first payment to begin the process, as well as to pay the balance when the portrait is completed.

Frequently asked questions:
Why are oils more expensive than the watercolors?
Because the materials are much more. One small tube of watercolor paint (which I can go through in 2 or 3 sittings) can cost $30 or more.
Will I be able to use my painting for advertising or my logo or on my website or brochure?
You own the painting but I still hold the copyright. This means that there would be an image usage fee to you to use the image in any of the above ways. See image usage fees on my website. Since I own the copyright I would be able to use your painting as well if I felt the call for it, such as in a card deck etc. You would remain anonymous in that regard.
Do these come matted or framed?
In order for me to keep my cost to you down I am not offering them this way for now but I would be happy to have that done for you. Consider that I will need to charge you for my time to shop for the mat or frame. I have chosen to create these in standard sizes so you will be able to get affordable matting and framing for your piece.
How do these differ from your Spirit Essence Portraits?
These paintings do not include psychic readings so you will need to be specific with me about what you want to include since I will not be channeling any information into them. Of course, as an artist, I will make certain compositional and stylistic decisions.
Will you be traveling to do these portraits?
No, these are not done in person, but here in my studio. If you’d like to come and model for me, that would be fine as well.
